For many Christians, the topic of the will of God revolves around a location or a vocation. When the Bible speaks of the will of God, it is not so much where you are (location) or what you do (vocation), but who you are. To “Live By The Book” it is necessary to do the will of God. There are five places in the New Testament where God essentially says, “This is My will.” One cannot expect to know His will in other areas of life if he/she is not following those areas where God says, “This is My will. . .”

• It is God’s will to be _____ _____, Ephesians 5:15-21.
• It is God’s will to be __________, 1 Thessalonians 4:3.
• It is God’s will to be __________, 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
• It is God’s will to be __________, 1 Peter 2:13-17.
• It is God’s will to _____, 1 Peter 4:19.

None of these are possible if you haven’t followed through on the foundational building block of God’s will. It is God’s will to be saved (Mark 3:31-34).

We cannot expect God to reveal His will in other areas of life if we are not “Living by the Book” in those areas He specifically has declared to be His will.
