Leaving a Legacy
TAP "NOTES" TO TAKE/SAVE/SHARE YOUR OWN NOTES
How will people remember you? In Acts chapter 20, Paul began making his way to Jerusalem from his third missionary journey. His stated intention was to go to Rome (Acts 19:21) and ultimately go on to Spain (Romans 15:23-25). So, it was evident to both Paul and these believers that they would never see him again on this side of heaven. What would be his legacy?
Today’s passage reveals four qualities of a legacy leaving life.
¨ We can leave a legacy through encouraging words, vv. 1-2.
¨ We can leave a legacy through mentoring relationships, vv. 3-6.
¨ We can leave a legacy through powerful teaching, vv. 7-12.
¨ We can leave a legacy through purposeful living, vv. 13-16.
Too often, people focus on their financial legacy rather than their personal and spiritual legacy. Leaving a strong personal and spiritual legacy will remain long after the money is gone.
