Acts 12:1-17

For too many believers, prayer is totally a private matter. However, the Bible places a strong emphasis on corporate prayer. The very prayer Jesus taught us (commonly referred to as The Lord’s Prayer) is corporate in its wording. “Our Father. . . give us. . . forgive us. . . lead us. . . deliver us. . .”  All indicating praying with and for others. In Acts 12 we read a remarkable account of the power of a praying church.

The prayer of power is fervent.

The prayer of power is definite.

The prayer of power is directed.

The prayer of power is united.

Has your prayer life suffered because you have been going solo?
