One of the beauties of the Old Testament is that it puts skin and bone on New Testament concepts. A New Testament concept that is fleshed out in the chapters before us is Philippians 1:6. “And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” God began a good work in several people and finished it. He finished the work he started in Joseph’s brothers (specifically Judah), in Joseph, and in Israel (Jacob).

- Completing the good work in Joseph, Ch. 45
- Completing the good work in Jacob, 46:1-4
When God begins a good work in you, He guarantees its completion.
