I don’t know what it’s been like for you this week, but in the workplace and public venues, there’s an incredible sense of fear and panic! I’ve personally never seen anything like it. I keep thinking/praying God will use this to bring people to Himself. What is it people are actually afraid of? Is it dying? Being sick? Being quarantined? Is it life without our usual comforts and distractions? The financial downturn?
Now more than ever, that peace and hope we have in Christ needs to set us apart as believers and we need to be ready to explain why we have it (with gentleness and respect of course). Perhaps that co-worker or neighbor or relative will be more open to having a spiritual conversation during this pandemic.
So I’m asking for prayer for all the folks who are suffering—either with sickness or fear, and for the church to be ready in whatever way God wants to use us.

God’s word to the nation Israel is helpful to us today, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. . . For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you” (Isaiah 41:10.13).
