Jesus was “full of grace and truth” (John 1:14). These two qualities are on full display in John chapter two. In verses 1-11 at the wedding of Cana we perceive His fullness of grace. Rather than allowing this bride and groom to suffer the social embarrassment of running out of wine, Jesus performed a creative miracle of transforming the water into wine. In the second half of chapter two, we see His fullness of truth on display by cleansing the Temple — His Father’s house. There are three functions the Lord performs in His temple.
What the Lord does, vv. 12-15.
What the Lord says, vv. 16-22.
What the Lord knows, vv. 23-25.
When Jesus looks into your heart, what does He see?
