Introductions are important. This is especially true for people unfamiliar with one another. It is also true for people who have forgotten one another. It serves as a reminder; it jogs the memory. Such is the case in the opening verses of Galatians. The Apostle Paul is reintroducing himself to these believers, many of whom are being led astray from the pure gospel of grace. In this introduction we discover three insights into what it means to be a true follower of Jesus.
- The mission of a true follower of Jesus, vv. 1-2.
- The message of a true follower of Jesus, vv. 3-4.
- The motive of a true follower of Jesus, v. 5.
With these insights in mind, if being a follower of Jesus were a crime, would there be enough evidence to convict you?
