"The prayer of a righteous man/woman is powerful and effective." James 5:16b
The prayer partner ministry is for people who believe the truth of the Scripture found in James 5:16.
Applying the principle from the account in Exodus 17:8-13 when Aaron and Hur held up Moses' arms while Israel was in battle, this ministry spiritually supports those in ministry at our church, especially our pastors.
There are three major components to the prayer partner ministry:
Each month a prayer guide is mailed to participants with a staff member and a particular ministry to pray for each day of the week. A focus is given for each week regarding special upcoming events, such as a particular outreach or a particular sermon that could have great impact on marriages, etc.
15 minutes before each morning service, the team scheduled for that service meets to pray for those ministering (i.e. choir, praise band, ushers, teachers, nursery and children's workers), for those people who will be coming into the service, and finally for the pastor in the ministry of the Word of God.
The team saturates the service with prayer throughout its duration.
